Guidance on parenting issues
Parenting
As parents and carers you have a huge responsibility in keeping your children safe and ensuring their well-being. Sometimes we all need help and advice on the challenges parenting raises. Different issues arise depending on the age of your children. With this in mind Kirklees has produced two guides which may help you in understanding your children and parenting.
There is also an organisation that will help in situations where children run away or are persistently missing from home.
Kirklees Parent Partnership Service
This is part of Kirklees Local Education Authority and is based with other voluntary and statutory services at Northorpe Hall, Mirfield. This Service is free and totally confidential and is about parents and education.
Information on help available for children and young people with a disability and their families.
Children and Young People's Service and a number of voluntary organisations work with families where a member is HIV positive to deal with any immediate problem.
