Training Courses
Safeguarding Children training courses are targeted at all workers from voluntary, statutory and independent agencies in the Kirklees area who work with children, young people and families.
The training programme includes Foundation and Advanced courses. To be accepted onto an Advanced course applicants must be able to demonstrate previous learning at Level 1 or must have attended face to face training in the preceding three years.
Before applying for a course it is recommended that applicants read the target audience descriptions to help decide which level of training best suits personal needs.
If you have any questions about the relevance or suitability of a particular course, please contact a Learning & Development Officer.
There is no charge for any of the training courses. All our courses are heavily over subscribed, it would be appreciated if for any reason you find you are unable to attend you let us know as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to someone else. Failure to do so may result in a £50 penalty being charged to cover catering and administration charges.
